Results
24sure results are generated fully automatically from scanned array images. Results comprise three sets of data which are stored and managed by the 24sure software.
Quality control metrics. Results are accompanied by internal metrics which can be used to assess the quality of the assay and hence the confidence that can be placed in results.
Genomic profiles. Detailed profiles are generated which display the result for every genomic sequence that is included in the assay. While the primary aim of these profiles is to identify chromosome level aneuploidy the profiles are also able to highlight the presence of smaller scale changes, for example arm level imbalances, or mosaic changes in trophectoderm biopsies from a 5 day blastocyst.
Sample report. A detailed report is produced for each sample. This is securely stored in the database for audit purposes and to support further investigations. While the standards for reporting are continuing to evolve most labs will report samples as euploid, aneuploid (small number of aneuploid chromosomes) or complex (large numbers of aneuploid chromosomes). In the case of samples called aneuploid the report may include a list of the affected chromosomes. In most cases however the aim of the investigation is to support existing scorecard approaches in their selection of which embryo to implant and hence detailed description of aneuploidy is largely expected to be irrelevant.
